This is the most comprehensive puppy care book I have ever read, and I have read them all! There is no stone left unturned! From how to find the puppy most suited to your life style, through every stage of developement to adulthood, it is all there! Ms. Shojai covers emergency care, nutrition, vaccinations, and what are all those diseases anyway, and what should you look for? She tells you in this book! There are chapters on how to play with your puppy and more importantly what are they trying to tell you? All you have to do is take a look at the table of contents to see all the information she delves into. The research she has done to write this book is incredible! I only wish I had purchased it a few months ago when I was helping a young woman raise an unexpected litter! I am a trainer and behavior consultant, and recently have sent several clients to amazon to purchase this book and they are thankful they have! But I have to add, this is a book that ALL dog owners need, the chapter on emergency care and instructions of what to do in all situations is extremely valuable to everyone!! Bravo Amy!
